I work with businesses to develop equitable cultures of inclusion for everyone by understanding how our sense of identity and how we see ourselves and others affect the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion within organisations and society as a whole.
Background
I am a researcher, speaker, educator, and organisational development specialist. I work with private, public, and voluntary sector organisations who have a belief in social justice and equity. I have 25 years’ experience working in social justice and equity and a Sociology PhD researching privilege and power.
The services I offer through Wide Open Voices include
Talks and Workshops – On how privilege and oppression work and how to disrupt them in organisations, in society, and in everyday life. Covering Race, class, and gender these talks and workshops are designed to educate, challenge, develop thinking and inspire action to create equitable inclusion.
Difficult Dialogues – Challenging, confidential 1-1 conversations and group discussions exploring issues of privilege, inequity, diversity, and inclusion for leaders and managers. These are ‘safe spaces’ in which C Suite executives can express and explore any concerns or doubts they hold about diversity and inclusion principles and practices. They will help contextualise what you think, develop your critical consciousness, challenge you to think differently and enable you to become better leaders.
Research and Strategy – Undertaking research into organisation cultures to reveal mission-critical knowledge and develop equitable inclusion strategies for organisations of all sizes and in any sector.
